Two years ago I lost the most special person in my life, my darling husband Ollie, after 14 years together. I miss him every day. I wish I could say I’ve moved on (even slightly) but I find it hard to imagine closeness like that with anyone.

On a quick look, Boston area papers have newswire reports from New York (and London!) of the "panic" prominently but make no comment of their own on the lack of anything happening locally.

I finally watched Ghostwatch recently and having read about the BBC 'receiving 30,000 complaints' and "banning it from being repeated for 10 years' I'm kind of leery about those claims despite them having come straight from the director.
