The press is indifferent to democracy and the Republican Party is actively hostile to it. I really believe the only path here is to cultivate a widespread civic religion that reacts with visceral disgust at any person or institution that seeks or facilitates undermining democracy.

Someone asked about a Vegas hotel and the first four comments were all about how incredible the gym is. It’s an immediate no from me. Go to the gym on vacation, do whatever you want. But if the ONLY thing people can come up with for a VEGAS HOTEL is that it has an amazing gym? Lmao I’m out.
