It's literally been years since someone has done that to me. It used to happen ALL THE TIME, esp when our kids were babies/toddlers (and in Denver), but has been really rare in Minneapolis. Most folks here will say "...and your partner, if you have one?" sort of thing. Much better.

I know this puts me in a really privileged spot compared to a lot of queer people in less safe places, but it was really jarring to be at a medical appt today (in the suburbs) and have the medical assistant make the assumption (presumably because I mentioned having kids) that I have a husband.

Had vocal feminization surgery a few days ago. This puppy is gonna be completely mute for 2 weeks but it can't wait to see how it sounds soon 💜💜💜 Ironically in San Francisco for the procedure at the exact same time as babyfurcon. Gotta go next year ;)
