I've had a couple kids ask for "not chocolate" over the last couple years so this year I got two supplies: one chocolate, one not (Nerds, various gummies, etc)

I work with teens and some of them do default to they until they get an explicit confirmation of gender/pronouns. Not many, but it is heartening.

Possibly they just couldn't see me because the hall light was on behind me. I thought it was sweet that they were comfortable just not specifying a gender though for whatever reason.
