I first saw Ginger Rogers in Cinderella when I was 5. I thought she was so beautiful and elegant. I wanted to grow up and be a queen. Classy lady. Lucille Ball is the reason we have Star Trek. She is my hero. Two amazing women.
Show PostGinger Rogers rocking the high heels at 61 doing that high-energy dancing is *amazing*. What talent!! Like the old joke goes: "Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did on screen, except she did it backwards and while wearing high heels"!
Show Post"Lucille Ball and Ginger Rogers first met in 1935, when Rogers was already an established Hollywood star and Ball was taking acting classes on the RKO studio lot from Rogers’ mother, Lela. This was the start of their friendship, which lasted for decades."
Show PostLucille Ball was a trailblazing angel💙 My favorite story is her friendship with Carol Burnett “Lucille Ball sent flowers to Carol Burnett every year on her birthday. On April 26, 1989—Burnett's 56th birthday—Ball had passed away, and flowers still arrived with a card reading, "Happy birthday kid".”
Show Post"Their earliest recorded interaction was a double date in 1935 with Henry Fonda and Jimmy Stewart. Ball recalled that after dinner, Ginger tried to teach the men the carioca dance, and the foursome danced until dawn at the Coconut Grove." Now that's a date!
