Today's my dad, Siegfried's birthday. He passed when I was 7. He probably would have never known or understood me being a furry or queer. He was an intelligent, open-minded man, though, so who knows. Defied his family's weird ass amish-like religion, said I should pursue my own beliefs. RIP, dad.

And Im gonna say this: I was there too. On that fence, afraid that expressing myself would make me look less professional. Turns out it doesn't really matter. I kept a 'professional image' for years and that didn't stop me from losing my job. It didn't stop my friends from losing theirs.

It makes more sense to me to draw furry porn as defiance to the pseudo-puritan, corporate nightmarish world they're trying to shove us into, rather than just pure personal expression.
