A 90 year old, whom I hadn’t seen for while, was takinf advantage of the mild weather to go for a walk. We got talking. She has only ever lived at two addresses in Brixton. “A bomb blew me out of the window of the first house.” “Ground floor? I asked. “No. First floor. I bounced. I was 3.” 😲

thinking about Patrick Stewart and Tim Curry and Dolly Parton and Catherine O’Hara and how many of the tributes shared after they died translate to something like “their art made me feel like I wasn’t alone in the world” it is hard to think of a better way to spend a life than that
