Whenever the folks at my polling place say “thanks for voting” I always say “thanks for volunteering!” And they always seem surprised. But they’re doing an important job! In my neighborhood it’s always older Black ladies so maybe the surprise is a random white girl is being polite and respectful 😂🤪

Oh, this loss hurts my heart. As good, moral, ethical, and kind a character as Picard was, knowing that Sir Patrick was just as good and actively advocated for protections against domestic violence and was adamantly anti-misogyny was very encouraging. We're burying too many of our heroes. ☹️
