I remember Thatcher's attempt to introduce the Poll Tax; that was stopped by organised resistance. I'm not saying it's easy, a single effort, or 100% achievable, but the more people see AI as a scam and organise against it, the harder it will be to claim a bail out as legitimate.

One way or other, AI will implode leaving a financial black hole and 'they' (companies, investors, govts) will try to get us to pay the price, like 2008. Last time we were caught out; the more AI resistance there is this time, the more we'll be ready to say "screw you, no way".
