My most Joe Lieberman sounding take is that I don’t think people should play military first person shooters like Modern Warfare. I think it is bad for kids and adults too & I think it may be grooming them to be like drone strikers or remote warfighters or some shit.

FPS games have notoriously been used as a recruitment tool by the US military. So much of what gets released is just state department propaganda. The exception is stuff like Spec Ops, Metal Gear, and Bioshock that use narrative to prompt players to critique and reflect on what they're doing.
