You can interpret the differential response two ways: - Ardent high-propensity Republican voters don't want to talk to pollsters, biasing their results - Republicans are so depressed/unenthusiastic that they won't vote in the first place. Very different conclusions, obviously.

I think Hamilton, if nothing else, is going to soften a lot of hearts in Kansas to the Democratic Party. A Federal Democratic candidate performing like this is genuinely such a major accomplishment in this state
