Sad to hear that Sir Patrick Stewart has died aged 86. Born in Mirfield and raised in West Yorkshire, he became a global icon as Captain Picard in Star Trek but was also a fine stage actor. From Shakespeare to Hollywood, his extraordinary career spanned six decades. A proud son of Yorkshire

A lot of talk about stockpiling food etc in case of crisis Probably a good time to go to your local charity shop and stockpile books, games, jigsaws and some toys if you have kids, too. There's little downside to this- good entertainment if needed and supports charities as well
