I once signed a book deal to write up the history of the Mini. I got so bogged down in trying to work out when the pickup and van switched from MK1 scuttle panel to the later type that I realised I'd never get it finished. I still reckon it was surprisingly late, perhaps 1982 or 1983.

That's fantastic! I always enjoy that there were so few Fairlights made and sold, that most of them have some pop star provenance down the line. Robin Scott's is in the Bradford Media Museum uncredited.
