In game dev, I was always attracted to the struggle of coding because I was afraid of solving the harder game design problems. coding was often used as an excuse to avoid those questions. Now that coding is easier and faster, I can really focus my energy into building the game design muscle.

sometimes the technical problems, my technical skill limits, blocked me from working on the problems as well. there's really no excuse anymore. and I think that's a good thing. Just don't use AI to make your game design decisions for you.

I also worked on deodorizing the game UI’s “AI smell.” Well, a trained eye can still tell the design is AI-made, but I improved the color choices, the way the frames are cut, and the fonts. #indiegame #gamedev
