We fixed that short. Now there’s another short in one of the quick connectors we added to one run of wire this year. 🤦🏻‍♀️ We are running out of time so I cold-joined those suckers because wire knows to behave itself when I tell it to do something.

Debugging was not made easier by a neighbor deciding they needed to urgently leafblow the driveway a few feet away from where we were working. No chocolate bars for them tonight. They can have bubblegum.

Excitement, but not the good kind! We had a short in one of the wires that was causing the button to press itself constantly. She successfully traced it and is currently replacing that wire. We have an hour and a half until the mayhem begins, we’ll probably make it.

We have had to re-solder six wires so far and there is now a significantly structural amount of electrical tape involved. There have also been at least seven iterations of “oh I suppose it would probably work better if I plugged this in” so y’know, going pretty well.
