@bam521.bsky.social@bam521.bsky.social → @bam5.bsky.socialCan we please stop calling this "signed" or "personally charged"? It's just his name in the signature block, that's such a different thing! It is significant, but it's still only-on-paper and doesn't mean he did it, just that he ordered and authorized it.
Show PostAre people still falling for the Ralston thing where he always makes it seem like the Democrats are doomed for the first few days of the early vote?
Show PostI am not sure there is actual evidence that this is true (at least not yet!) Madison still performed very poorly today, and that’s one half of our n=2 It could genuinely have just been the Trump rally lmao, we’ll have to see how other rurals did when we get data tomorrow
Show PostThe canvass (i.e., official final vote totals) is certified in late November and the governor has no role in that. Dunleavy refusing to sign it immediately would delay the certificate sent to the secretary of the Senate by a few days at most. Honestly wouldn't even be worth suing him over.
Show PostThere are other reasons this is nonsense and remedies available if he tries, but on top of everything else: Dunleavy's term as governor ends on Dec 7. Even if he flat-out refused to sign the certificate before leaving office, it isn't needed until Jan 3. Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins could simply do it.
