Walter was more than Chekov. He was a writer, a teacher, a thoughtful man, and a loyal friend. To the fans who loved him for so many years, thank you. He loved you too. Rest well, my dear friend. Keep navigating a steady course. – George

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

I hope Michiganders elect Abdul El-Sayed to the Senate. He would be good for Michigan and good for the United States. https://robertreich.substack.com/p/senator-abdul-el-sayed

I hope this gets written about because I'd like to hear from actual experts on what might happen if we, as a culture, just stop processing feelings like grief via art and media. Is it good or bad for emotional resilience? For empathy? I have guesses but I'm just a game show host.

Yeah, this is the piece I want to read. We all knew that Where the Red Fern Grows was sad! This was the point of the book! Your real-life childhood dog will die too and that's why there is art about it! "I refuse to watch this one kind of sad thing" seems like a new development.
