Of all the countries where this is a very heterogenous category, India might be tops. there's an elite (top 10%) anglophone urban private school educated lot, usually from the major metro cities, that is likely to make it to the US, and that's about as homogenous a group as you'll get.

as a trans woman with actual lived experience in this, I can tell you that "you could just not tell anyone you're trans" and "you could just be a man at work" are both incredibly common responses to trans women's worries about employment
