Also, I think giving up on trans rights is just signaling to republicans that they were right all along. All their crying and moaning and bitching worked, and they’ll just keep doing that for other minorities until democrats give inch after inch one election at a time.

I think the argument would be that we’re only giving democrats permission to keep abandoning minority rights at a boiling-frog pace. This election some are saying they’ll ban trans sports. If they win off that why wouldn’t they push it further for worse policies when it clearly had no consquences
