Show PostOkay, I'm intrigued. I did a quick Google search for "escalators" and clicked on News. Got a bunch of articles from the past day about a London tube station that is going to be exit only while they take 7 months to repair the escalators.
Show PostActually, there are several stations in London with escalator issues. Deferred infrastructure maintenance and how complicated it is to fix escalators seems to be an issue. I did notice during my last couple visits to NYC that a lot of escalators in subway stations weren't working.
