spoke to Blunt years ago when i was writing about the Pristina airport incident. Was genuinely struck by the level of moral clarity he had. Dude was very clearly prepared to face a court martial, rather than follow what he felt was an illegal and immoral attack order from an (American) general.

Key question about this compromise Can those playing by rules of visa & told they have a 10 year route now stay in practice to reach it? Govt needs to not apply threshold hikes - or would protect high earmers & care workers but have remigration by stealth in between bsky.app/profile/jame...

I mean.. I'm not sure there is? I dont think a bloke whose 8 generations removed from someone should suddenly owe hundreds of thousands because his great grandad owned slaves and got compensation? Even if they remain wealthy, far too much has happened inbetween
