I feel like a psycho-analyzer when I post these sort of fandom observations but I have to wonder if the people in question mentally still see themselves as 16 despite being 30 and that's why they hold the characters to adult standards, because they don't see themselves as an adult mentally?

Like, for example I feel like being an adult Persona fan who adamantly hates Yosuke is a sign that you don't remember what it was like to be an insecure, most likely closeted teenage boy because you didn't have the space to rediscover yourself and who you actually are.

I think my problem with alot of adult Persona fans online is just how many of them seemingly forget what it was like to be a teenager and judge the characters by holding them to adult standards which feels like missing the point of the narratives to some degree.
