Interests include politics, sports, and painting Warhammer 40k models. Oh, and it'd be great if we could do something about income inequality and the impending fascism. Yeah...

*stares at camera* "It’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer. And be used 5% of the time." frvr.com/blog/news/op...
Show PostIncredibly funny that they all piled into the replies here
Show PostI actually think Ed hates me now for telling him that actually, no, American companies intentionally embedding themselves into people's 401Ks and the American defense infrastructure at a rapid pace will not be allowed to collapse overnight, that they will be bailed out. But the scam he sees is real.
Show PostThere is no doubt that this is an overleveraged bubble, that five or six companies keep lending money back and forth to each other to make their books look cleaner than they are, and even despite this they are all deeply underwater. Ed's problem is he predicted the market would correct for euphoria.
Show PostThe economics of AI are uniquely ridiculous and bad, though. The money isn't there without a government bailout. They are literally trillions in debt, some of them independently, purely on infrastructure costs that will only keep rising. That the scam has been allowed to continue is not his fault.
