I actually think Azmi Bishara does a good job of articulating this well before the Iran War in his book on the Trump 2020 peace plan. Recommend reading it.
Show PostYea the more substantively true interpretation (the US right and Israeli right converged into one another in terms of replicating their interests and worldview, this metastasized into a perfect storm under Trump for finally getting their war of aggression they wanted) doesn't sound good either lol
Show PostSo I do have to say that while obviously Trump chose this, the actual truth of what happened, which is that Israel made a strong argument that Trump should attack Iran and then he chose to do so freely, isn’t really much better and stating it as your only counter is not going to be effective
Show PostBetter to be honest and just go straight to saying what one thinks: the weak must suffer what the strong impose, etc.
Show PostI was admittedly quite aggressive yesterday with a British user who is very obviously temperamentally sympathetic to Israel but incapable of defending it on the merits, but I asked them and I ask everyone: what specific things does Europe do to protect Syrian territorial integrity? Nothing.
