🏛🧱⛏️ = ⛪️ It's not *quite* at the astonishing level of Roman fabric reuse at the early medieval All Saints', Brixworth, but the Anglo-Saxon church of St Mary's, Breamore, still has LOTS of Roman spolia in the form of reused red brick/tile (CBM = Ceramic Building Material).

Objects found with the red lady (later found to be a man) of Paviland. Discovered in Goat hole cave on the Gower peninsula near Swansea, S Wales. Dated 32,000 bce. Currently on display in St Fagans museum, Cardiff. Visited 3/10/26. #findsfriday #ancienthistory
