Important story. I know less about the CCS side of the equation, but I do know that the bioenergy part of BECCS won’t work at scale bc it drives up land competition with food production, timber production, & C storage. But BECCS is the “magic asterisk” that achieves negative emissions in models.

Sigh. Jodi the Nanotyrannus was officially sold for 47 million. Which has me full of rage. Incredibly rare fossils should not be allowed to be bought by the ultra rich to use as home decor. They should be in a museum where they can be studied and then enjoyed by everyone. 👇👇
