Are SO DIVERSE! And so far my favorite eating apple this week is 🥁 Esopus Spitzbergen It’s tart, crisp, juicy, sweet and there’s some other flavor I can’t pinpoint. But I have at least 3 more varieties I’ll save for tomorrow!!

If you think you don’t like apples… go to the farmer’s market this weekend. Find the vendor with the longest list of the most obscure apples (in NYC, this is probably Locust Tree Orchard, which sells at Union Square on Wed & Sat). Ask them what’s good. Ask them what else. Get a few varieties. Apples
