Here’s why I never spray aphids… I no longer even squish them. Not only do ladybugs eat them, but (I learned shamefully late in life) hoverfly larvae also eat them! After the rain there has been an explosion in aphid numbers, but they’ll be under control soon enough. #brislife

Another reason I don’t spray- not even soapy water- is that our green jumping spiders like to live on the citrus trees (and probably eat the useful hoverflies, sadly, but damned if I’m going to harm my favourite spider!)
