UVA’s insurance is especially inadequate given how expensive it is to receive care at UVA. One trip to the ER or to a specialist will eat up the HSA benefit that UVA provides for their high-deductible plan. We had to take our kid to the ER this summer and we were shocked at how expensive it was.

I had United Healthcare before I joined UVA, and it was...better. It came up in a "listening session" when Beardsley came to the library-there's no benefit to going to UVA health as an employee.
