Roman as the long lost, orphaned brother is just… terrible. It would have been more interesting to discover all this happened to Maureen Prescott, and then have the killer have some other, unrelated motivation. It turns Maureen Prescott into a magical psycho creation field or something.
Show PostPlus there’s this implication that because she was victimized in her career that she was somehow easier to victimize by Billy and Stu and that’s just sort of a generally ugly idea. Also anything tying Billy into a conspiracy is dumb.
Show PostI agree with Cap. I don't think it's a bad film, it just doesn't meet the bar of the other movies. And you're spot on, IMO. It's a convoluted mess because it tries to do much. There's a ton of great concept. It just gets freight trained in all the complexity.
