We cannot keep making excuses for these people on account of the fact they may be sneaky or lie, they are, have and will lie anyway regardless of disclosures.

They are already lying, they will continue to lie, like you said people who post these are unscrupulous, they are not good faith actor regardless of disclosure. What banning AI slop on itch would do is reinforce that it is a platform for creatives FIRST.
