I moved to the UK with my parents six months after my 18th birthday. If the route is scrapped, by the time I get ILR at age 35, I will have paid at least £75,000 in tuition and visa costs (+ 20% in tax taken from my salary each month). Onerous? Certainly. Unfair? Up to you.
