My family in the southern US always talked about the rabbit in the moon (formed the spots and craters on the moon face), and I later discovered that this is also an image in Buddhist mythology.
Show Postthere is also the three hare circular design (3 hares sharing 3 ears) that has connections to the lunar cycle I think, and is found in both Eastern and Western traditions

Do you have access to the Druid Animal Oracle? If not i can take a photo or two and add it here tomorrow. It has a section on the hare! And a beautiful illustration.

Hi Amanda, I'd say here the main character is 'Osterhase', bringing the Easter eggs. Do you know the fairy-tale 'Der Hase und der Igel' 🐰🦔? In a fable it's name is 'Meister Lampe' and an anxious person can be called 'Hasenfuß' 🐇🦶 😉
