Wait, how is it religious bigotry to say "I, a Catholic, have a specific opinion about how the Catholic Church should govern itself"? Are you accusing cheyinka of being a self-hating Catholic or something?
Show Post... I feel like they would get sovereign immunity AND the rights of a citizen... Which does feel a bit like double-dipping but is it?
Show PostI don't know. Possibly none. I actually do not know under what conditions a US citizen CAN be stripped of citizenship, and whatever those are, I don't think it's something that should happen a lot, if ever. If a head of state of A remains a citizen of B, what power can B exert over them? ...
Show PostNothing magical. I think I'm talking more about where the boundaries of sovereignty might be, and how permeable. A single vote isn't a big bite into a country's sovereignty, no. Is it a bite at all? I think it is, but I'm also interested in arguments to the contrary.
Show Post... but if you want to believe I'm making some other argument than I believe I'm making, I'm unsure how to resolve that difference.
