3 months later, I have reviewed 17 additional video game publishing agreements. 16 had explicit no Gen-AI clauses, and 1 didn't mention it. All had standard IP reps & warranties which would make Gen-AI use an arguable breach regardless. But Tim Sweeney still wants you to think everyone is using it

maybe im a hypocrite bc i take a lot of inspo from japanese games/comics/shows myself but i think western indie devs need to think about why they’re so keen on using japanese aesthetics/cultural signifiers when it comes to building settings for their games
