As others have said I oppose monopolisation of compute but some degree of (soverign) centralisation is a good idea.

In ither words, its not that his argument is technically wrong, it's that ot doesnt take into account your other relevant values. Although by the looks of it, some people define their values as being opposed to Altman.

Altman is right that local inference is inefficient. The thing is there are reasons other than efficiency for local inference. Seeing a lot of nonsensical blabbering from both sides of the fence on this one.
