Wes, great piece. The mantra of “Restrictive ROE” is reductive and inaccurate. The data for SOF operations in Afghanistan is clear: operational adaptations over time (which includes more call-outs) improved jackpots, reduced harm to civilians, AND led to reduced friendly force casualties.
