see this is what I say when I mean many of the dems in power don't understand politics. A base of single-issue voters is an easy to please base. Why do you think the republicans are trying to pivot their base to ONE ISSUE (being anti-minority rights)?

The most irritating thing about liberals on this site complaining about "single-issue voters" is that "single-issue voters" are how the Democratic coalition was built. Black people aren't on average more liberal than whites, but they almost all vote D. Muslims used to be overwhelmingly R. etc.
