Just finished an extraordinary book 'When the Cranes Fly South' by Lisa Ridzén. Quite short, but beautiful, about an old man coming to terms with his son before he dies. Sounds bleak, but it's not. It's a warm, human read about family, food, friends, dogs, and the final journey.

@countarthurstrong.bsky.social Arthur, I know you're a Cotes Du Rhone man usually, but I've just tried a bottle of this Vaucluse Terres des Poetes on offer at Aldi for £4.99 (till Tuesday) after Andy's tip and it's lovely! Smooth as silk.
