I self-identify as anarchist and I vote every opportunity I have. Voting is one tool in a societal toolkit. Yes, direct action and worker organizing are far more effective tools for change. Yes, the myth of “free elections” can have a stunting effect on direct action and worker organizing.

I used to vote only occasionally. Now I vote in what I consider relatively life-and-death situations. The country has largely been taken over by Nazis, and I consider that pretty life-and-death.

I know, and generally agree with, the #anarchist arguments against voting. But yes, things are different now. You may not be at risk of being thrown in a concentration camp, but many other people are. Republicans and Democrats are not "the same." Vote these sick MFs out of office and into prison.

...Peter Lamborn Wilson used to laugh at how people would say, in *every election*, "This election really matters! This election is life and death!" in an effort to get people to vote. He was right, but voting now will give people breathing room in the worst political environment we've ever seen.
