I think it is very accurate, from a historical standpoint, to refer to both events as the First and Second Battle of Minneapolis. And I have a suspicion 2014-2030(?) will be recognized as a low-intensity U.S. civil conflict by future historians like The Troubles but more spread out.

What is also not covered in the 2020 Minneapolis riots are the right wing groups that were present. The ICE occupations of Minneapolis was basically another attempt to try to do the same thing as before but ICE recruited from many of those same groups.
