Had Nixon been hung as a traitor I truly don't think we would be where we are today. No Nixon as pres, no watergate, no reagan, no modern GOP.
Show PostLBJ was... something. I don't think I can forgive his failure to take one of the great offramps to where we are today. Nixon committed treason (he directly sabotaged peace talks to end the vietnam war to boost his election chances), LBJ knew about it but refused to prosecute bc of "optics".
