I know it isn't easy to hear about personal trauma and abuse, but I want people to know what to look out for in ways I'd have given anything to have known growing up and pouring my soul into bad faith people who never saw me or cared.

It's also good to watch out for people who enjoy the "drama". If they don't ask how you're feeling/how they can help, but will make you focus on what others are saying, They don't care about your healing, they want entertainment.

They'll share words you said, sure, but carefully, and never what built up to it. "They were neglectful, never left the house, didn't want me to touch them, snapped easily." Never the part about how they abused, shamed and prodded you in the weeks, months, years leading up to that treatment.

They don't care if others believe them because they're right, honest, fair and sharing unbiased facts... so long as they're believed. Winning means more than integrity. Being a perpetual victim. Victory over virtue. Build themselves up and tear you down. They'll go as low as necessary.
