Today has been sad. My reef tank is being dismantled. A hobby I thoroughly enjoyed for 8years. In an attempt to downsize my life and expenses this was unfortunately one that had to go. I will miss my fish and the coral but they are going to a good place before finding new homes.

Further investigations into Proxmox: Turns out that having asynchronous read/writes enabled on NFS shares on my Synology DS918+ vastly improves performance, but at the same time, committal of the data is also less assured. Allowing NFS v4.1 for mixed R/W I/O gives it a slight edge, but...
