As someone also involved in those efforts, it's painful to see it be a total failure in the long run, but it was S'onewall arent fit for purpose and should be abolished

The unsayable thing is that huge, established, overarching systems are in fact bad and harmful systems. That they need radical change. This is frightening for cautious people. But I think that, deep down, they actually realise the truth of it.

It can be true that the state-sanctioned transphobia is currently the law, and that that law is a bad law (as it's clearly not compliant with the European Convention on Human Rights in many ways). That leads me to the conclusion that we must campaign to overturn it. Sad that Stonewall won't.
