To be fair I don't think you should be allowed to have a job ensuring the god you're trying to build is an ethical one if you attend sketchy rape orgies. Even if you're wrong and will fail, you should not be allowed to try and Solve Ethics Forever without passing the 101 class first.

The government surveils us constantly. They know exactly who we are and where we live and increasingly where we are at any moment. When my mom died they knew within a day or two — to claw back the social security payment she’d just gotten. Why the charade of constant purges and re-registration?
