But that’s not even a huge deal compared to what Witt said on cross. It’s not just that Castor wasn’t present for Benavides’ testimony… Castor also apparently told Witt that HE DID NOT READ A TRANSCRIPT OF BENAVIDES’ TESTIMONY. Which makes this part of the superseding affidavit completely nuts!

Is it possible that Witts misunderstood, or that something got lost in translation? Sure. DOJ can deal w/ that on re-direct. But after the hearing I conferred with my colleagues in the media room to make sure I’d heard correctly. And I did: Witts testified that Castor didn’t read the transcript.
