The fundamental failure here is of Cabinet Office. They were faced with a burning platform (a failure of service management) and, desperately, bought the idea of AI delivering the solution (a failure of expertise). They ignored all warning signs (a failure of procurement)

It’s because being a bishop is an ontological state which you can’t lose, so you keep the honorifics unless you’ve done something bad enough to be defrocked (since we’ve brought that back as a thing), but that would have to be really serious. But being archbishop is “just” a job.
