My doom wad In Absentia is out RIGHT NOW!! www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/... #doom #doommapping
Show PostAh, the classic tale of "guy who didn't realize stores and vendors have overhead costs" I'm not defending the sneaker bros but No One Would Give Me TCGPlayer Prices Or Idly Chat With Me On A Busy Expo Day isn't really the tragedy they think it is
Show PostThere's lots of sketchy buyers in the OP article- no denying it. But irony is lost on the author that they are complaining about "stealing" and "scalpers" while spending 10 months trying to find a business that they can squeeze for maximum value. We are always the heroes of our own story.
Show PostWant more than that? sell it on ebay or tcgplayer yourself. Take 15% off the top for fees, another $5+ for tracked shipping, and hopefully you never deal with a damaged package or scammy buyer. Supplies cost money. Your time has value. Suddenly getting $70 for that $100 card seems like a steal.
Show PostI see this with Magic all the time. Your $100 card is never going to get you $100. A dealer will give you $60-$80 depending on how liquid the card is- how quickly they expect to sell it. Most collectibles aren't that liquid- that's why you're selling to a store in the first place.
