My experience was mostly great! I had such a fun time!! It was just one session that was a massive red flag for me. If he's not a cult leader, at very least his ego is enormous and way, way bigger than his competence. Beware anyone with a giant ego, maybe that's all I should say.

What masculinity I prize as someone genderqueer, I think largely comes from him. Stewart himself was always deeply secure in his masculinity & used it to be a true ally to queer folks, domestic violence survivors, & so many others. He fought on-screen & off for people of all kinds. He loved deeply.

I was 11yo, downstairs, inches from the biggest TV screen in our house, when Patrick Stewart stepped out onto the Enterprise. Not only was he a father figure to me on screen in a way my own father failed at completely, but he was as good a human being as it gets. He embodied Trek fully as few have.
